Common boiler problems we fix
Most boiler faults show up in one of a few ways:
- No heating or hot water.
- Low pressure, or pressure that keeps dropping.
- The boiler locking out or showing a fault code.
- Strange noises such as banging, gurgling or whistling.
- Radiators that stay cold or only heat up at the top.
- Leaks or drips from the boiler or pipework.
Diagnose first, then repair
We find the cause rather than guess at it. Once we know what is wrong we explain it in plain English and agree the repair with you before any work starts. If a boiler is beyond sensible repair, we will tell you honestly and talk you through the options.
Safety first
If you smell gas, leave the property, do not use electrical switches and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. Once the supply is made safe, a Gas Safe registered engineer can carry out the repair.
Prevent the next breakdown
Many breakdowns can be avoided with an annual service. After a repair we can book your boiler in for regular servicing so it stays reliable.
